![]() I have been involved in the dance teaching world for 31 years and have been in theatre since I was a little girl. My other passion is animals, hence the idea to collaborate my experience in the theatre world and put it to good use. The concept is so easy when it is shared between all the dance teachers in one area. The theatre is booked for a certain date and all I did was contact my Dance Teacher friends and appeal for a donation of one piece of choreography per studio or Dance Company. Many of the dancers in studios don’t ever have the opportunity to dance in a really large theatre setting, so this is also an advantage to all the performers as well as the fact the studio is publicized and receives free advertising. If everyone donates their time and effort for free – then this can work. I approached a Printing company (PaperJet) who offered all our posters and programmes and all we had to pay was the ink. Our filming was all donated by Andrew Emdon who has made a copy for each performer and we were able to sell this video and make 100% profit towards our fund. Pat Bromilow-Downing donated his time to do all the show photography. Debbie Hadley donated her expertise to designing the programme and posters. Craig Tarling edited our show sound recording and Jason Katz prepared our full slide show for the event. Alison Foat of Diva-events contributed to all our media coverage. Vanessa (veryvivi.com) donated the beautiful photograph on our Posters and programme. I then sent out e-mails requesting assistance with sponsorship and the reaction was overwhelming. Many people shared my mails and really cared about the project and clearly want a better life for animals. Our generous sponsors:
