Message from Hellen White

Picture
19th February 2013

Dear All

It is with gratitude that I say THANK YOU all for your kind support. I am honoured to be part of the DANCERS LOVE DOGS initiative. THANK YOU for allowing me to undertake a HUGE task of sterilisations that I would not be able to do without your help.

These two strays were found in the Community on Saturday by the kids in Naturena Ext 13 and called me. I have since taken them in to be sterilised and they will return to the kids today. I have also put in a kennel and will be taking some fencing and a gate to keep them in. It is in cases like this that I know that I have the support and am able to assist.

I will ask OAKDENE VET to give me a receipt for the steris paid yesterday.

Much appreciated and blessings to you all. Will be honoured to meet you at your show in OCTOBER 2013. If I can assist in any way, please call on me.

Have as many needy dogs (and cats!) that find me, sterilized and innoculated.

Deworm and Frontline regularly.

I get out there getting it done 7 days a week.

With joy and love I pay society's debts.

 My name is Hellen White.

One female dog and her offspring, in 6 years, can be responsible for the birth of 67 000 dogs. One female cat and her offspring, in 7 years, can be responsible for the birth of 420 000 cats. Every neutered cat or dog stops many unwanted babies and makes a huge difference. TO NEUTER IS CUTER! Stop the death penalty and neuter your animals.

Message from Susan Le Roux Venter

(Following the Pretoria Show in January 2013)

Dear Brigitte

Fantastic news to read that the show was such a huge success and that the funds raised will help so many animals in need and work towards creating a better world for our beloved four-legged companions!

From the dancing dogs’ side, we really enjoyed the show tremendously. Our dogs also had a lot of fun and received so much love and cuddles (especially during break time in the foyer. For me personally it was very rewarding to be around so many people who all love and have a passion for animals.

A special thank you to Jeannette who arranged everything from her side and worked so hard!

Thank you very much for the gifts, Timothy loves the training treats!

We do hope that the shows will continue and we would love to be part of such a special initiative again in Pretoria. The whole event holds a very special memory in our hearts and we are fortunate to have so many special photos on the Facebook group page.

With paw appreciation and loving tails...

Keep well,
Susan

Message from Brig to Paulette from the Atterbury Theatre - Pretoria

Dear Paulette

I am sorry it has taken so long to be in contact with you  - the start to this year has been a bit of a stressed "rush" .

Most important,  I would like to thank and honour you and the Atterbury Theatre for sponsoring and donating Thursday night (31 January 2013) to Dancers LOVE  Dogs  in Pretoria.

Words will never express my real gratitude for this enormous contribution to animals in need.

To date our 3 shows in Cape Town, JHB and Durban, have raised over R250 000.00 and sterilized over 1000 animals, and we are still continuing with sterilizations every day with the funds raised.

This is a "project" that has filled me with such love and gratitude is so many ways - connecting with wonderful humans, and combining my passion for dance and my compassion for animals.  None of this would ever be possible without people like yourselves being prepared to donate with such kindness.

I was so excited to attend the Pretoria show on Thursday - to assist where I could and be a support to all,  and, of course, watch all the wonderful performances and  meet you in person.

Thank you, Paulette and just know that the Atterbury Theatre is going to make the most unbelievable difference in the lives of many animals in your area.

I applaud you.

With love and respect,
Brig

Letters of Gratitude following the JHB Show 2012

Several individuals and organizations benefited from the proceeds of the DLD Show held in Johannesburg this year, put together by our JHB collaborator, Tina Fraser.  For example, R 20, 000 was donated to Dr. Shelagh Hahn who kindly  agreed to sterilize, vaccinate and deworm a dog for R200.  This translates into 100 dogs which can be sterilized from this donation, and we patiently await feedback from the relevant individuals. R 18, 750 was allocated to 'Animals in Distress' and they'll be responding in due course as well. Below, as a file to download, is the letter DLD received from Pug Rescue SA.

We'll do our best to collate and capture all the written feedback we receive, as and when we receive it, which will illustrate how your generous support has been brought to fruition.  Thank you and bless you all.

Message from Brigitte to her DLD Team (October 2012)

To my amazing team - DANCERS LOVE DOGS

Tina - Leigh - Debs and Nic

Wow! One year done and I don't think I could do anymore shows to be honest!

I firstly want to say the hugest thanks to Tina for the show on Friday night.  Wow miss T - what an amazing production! Your 3 months hard work was really given its full value by the beautiful performances and wonderful  people!

I will never know how to thank you or Leigh enough for putting Durban and JHB together the way you did - knowing there was no remuneration and it was all for just pure love! I do know that when we "give" the universe has a way of giving back in large doses, so I trust we must all be on that list of really receiving bigtime!

To Leigh, for the amazing Durban show and all the hours you didn't have (like T and I) and yet you just managed so well and easily to get a first rate production together!  I still don't know how you did it to be honest - having a full time job and evening teaching?

Debs, your endless hours of sitting at your computer doing all our graphics, and so brilliantly as well, and Nic for keeping our beautiful website going so awesomely .  Love you guys more than I can say.

I cant tell you how we felt in JHB having all you guys backing us totally and being there for us 100% - with constant messages , calls and e-mails. It was just brilliant and this makes us a special and unique team.

I know more money is still coming in from various areas from the shows - but right now we are sitting on R227 000,00  raised!  Makes you really proud hey? We have made a HUGE difference since May this year and we can only embrace our beautiful partnership with so much love and joy.  In my figures collectively - this means over 1000 sterilizations!  That's PAWsome!

Thank you - thank you-  thank you.  I am so proud to be your friend and know you and be part of this amazing foundation that we all have, and words will never ever be enough to express how truly grateful I am to all of you.  Just know that every day you all touch my heart in such a special and magical way and I will be forever grateful for having you in my life .

Thank you so very much and love you all.
Brig

Message from Michelle & Cameron (Liza Michelle School of Dancing)

Dear Brigitte and Tina

Thank you so much for letting us be a part of ‘Dancers love Dogs’ Johannesburg show.

It was a wonderful experience and the dancers and myself love the feeling of giving back and helping our lovely dogs.

The show was so organized and was enjoyed by all who attended. We can’t wait to hear how much we raised - hopefully  a good amount of money.

I am sure it will just grow and grow from here forth.

Thank you once again.

Love,
Michelle and Cameron

Message from Reese & Carla (Pawfriends Steri)

Dear Brig,

How can we possibly thank you enough? You have made a huge difference in the future population of our township animals. It is a wonderful feeling to know that we all pitched in to make the day happen. But you were the one who made it possible.

I hold you in high esteem and look forward to seeing you again soon.

For everything you do, thank you from the bottom of our PawFriends heart.

xxx Reese and Carla.

Message from Tamsyn Ripsold regarding the Mandela Day Spayathon

19th July 2012

Hi

I just want to take this opportunity to thank you for your kind donation for our Mandela Day spayathon. We had a  hugely successful spayathon and managed to exceed our goal of sterilising 67 animals to a staggering figure of 85 animals.  I have updated our project on the givengain website and added some pictures so please have a look and see how you helped us help those who need it most.

Message from Jane from Mdzananda Animal Clinic

2nd July 2012

Dear Brigitte and supporters,

Thank you so much for this sponsorship, it is a great privilege to receive it.

We are having a meeting today to discuss how to strategize which community we will target with your funding. I’m not sure if I mentioned this to you, but we always ensure that each animal that is sterilised, gets vaccinated and de-wormed as well. It is important to for us to ensure that each animal stays healthy and we do not lose any animals from distemper or parvo virus.

Love from Jane, the people & animals @ Mdzananda
